Descrizione
Our C1 level courses are for people with an advanced level of English who wish to make progress in the language. Typical learners at C1 level are able to use the language easily and fluently, and are aware of the relationship between language and culture, and of the significance of register.
They are therefore able to adapt their language to a variety of situations and can use English in a creative and flexible way, and can respond appropriately to unexpected and unusual situations. However, they may have trouble with particularly complex situations, and responding to multiple sources of information on unfamiliar topics.
Our C1 course also acts as a preparation course for the Cambridge English: Advanced examination (CAE).
Our C1-level courses can also be taken with our Fluency courses. These classes focus on spoken English in a variety of social, business and academic situations.
All our lessons give students the opportunity to learn and use English in realistic situations, and our teachers give regular homework to help you practice.
Every two weeks there is a progress test in class, which helps the teachers identify students' strengths and weakness, and allows the students to check their progress in English.
In addition, there is at least one full practice exam before the main exam to give practice under exam conditions.
Students who successfully complete our C1 course can:
understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognise implicit meaning.
express him/herself fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions.
use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes.
produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organisational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices.
These descriptors are summarised from the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
