The digital economy is growing at seven times the rate of the rest of the economy and, at its core, it is fuelled by the availability of high-speed, broadband networks. Understanding the technologies that sustain the evolution and deployment of broadband networks is therefore a crucial skill for people seeking jobs with manufacturers, operators and regulators.
The master in Future Broadband Networks (FBN) will provide the skills required to design, dimension and maintain the broadband networks of the future, addressing the fields of optoelectronics, optical and wireless communications, as well as network design and related services.
The master in FBN will last twelve months, divided into three teaching quarters, each including four courses, plus one quarter devoted to internships in companies operating in the specific industry sector.
Classes will be taught in English by Politecnico di Torino professors and by industry experts. Each class will include theoretical lectures and practices. Lab classes are scheduled as well.
The Future Broadband Networks specializing master program will prepare students for employment in companies operating in the following fields:
design and manufacturing of high-capacity telecommunications systems and broadband networks equipment;
mobile telecommunications carriers;
development of ICT services and applications.
